Realme will be launching a "Pro" version of the Realme 2 in India next month.
OPPO sub-brand RealMe today launched the RealMe 2 in India, the company’s second Android smartphone. While the Realme 2 does offer a few key advantages over the Realme 1, it cannot be considered a direct successor to the Realme 1. However, Realme has confirmed that a more impressive version of the Realme 2 carrying the Realme 2 Pro moniker will be launched in India soon.
Realme 2 Pro: Launching Next Month
The teaser released by Realme on Twitter today confirms the Realme 2 Pro will be launched in India in September. No exact date has been confirmed by Realme yet, although we do expect the company to send out media invites for the launch event very soon. Since the smartphone has “Pro” in its name, we can expect it to be powered by a more powerful processor under the hood, likely a Snapdragon 600 series chipset. It could also be offered with higher RAM and internal storage options when compared to the Realme 2. Of course, with superior hardware under the hood, Realme 2 Pro will no doubt be priced higher than the Realme 2. We expect the smartphone to be priced somewhere around the Rs.12,000 mark for the base variant, while the more expensive configuration could be priced around Rs.15,000.
