Following the success of the Redmi Note 7 lineup, Xiaomi has today debuted two new budget smartphones- the selfie-centric Redmi Y3. and all-rounder Redmi 7. The former has been priced starting at Rs. 7,999, whereas the Y3 starts at Rs 9,999.
Xiaomi carries forward its Aura design language to these 2 phones as well. Speaking of the Redmi Y3, it features a 6.26-inch Dot Notch display and is powered by the Snapdragon632 SoC. This is paired with up to 4GB RAM, up to 64GB storage, 4000mAh battery, and Android Pie-based MIUI 10.
The highlight of the Redmi Y3, however, are the cameras. There's a 32MP selfie camera on board with EIS in tow, along with a 12MP+2MP dual-rear camera setup.
The Redmi 7, on the other hand, is basically the same smartphone as Y3 in terms of build, specs, and other features, except for the selfie department. Redmi 7 has an 8MP selfie lens as opposed to the 32MP one on Redmi Y3.
